September: New Products, Places, and Promos
With only 20 more days of summer left, it's wild to think about all of the changes that have happened in the world of Henri over the last quarter. If you had told us a month ago that we'd already be working on our latest updates in preparation for Fall, few of us (if any at all) would have believed you.
Words cannot express how grateful we are to have gained the feedback and positive reception of our products so far. It makes us want to give you the world - challenging us to think of the best and most creative ways possible to deliver that world to each and every one of our customers.
As we prepare to head into the fall season, here's the latest and greatest of what we're working on right now:
Savetember: 30 more days of 30% savings
Our "30 Days of Summer" promotion was a massive hit - drumming up new interest in the Henri brand and getting our products into the hands of brand new customers all over the world. After careful consideration and some thoughtful planning around our growth, we're glad to say that we're going to be able to continue offering this savings until the end of September too.
All products in the shop will continue to be sold at a 30% discount until at least September 30th - and if the results perform as well this time around as they did the last time, we might even be able to extend those savings further into the year! Stay tuned.
Aroma Bar: Our Retail Concept
We'll be the first to tell you how much we love being an e-commerce store - it's opened up so much flexibility in how we can offer and position our products. With that said, like all business strategies, there are some disadvantages that come with selling our products online exclusively.
Internally, this aspect of our growth has always been an elephant in the room. What kind of fragrance company sells products with no way for consumers to test them out? How can our customers be informed about the fragrance they've invested in on our words alone? The truth is, they can't. If we stay 100% online, there's always going to be an aspect of our offering that remains unavailable to our customers - the experience of trying out and falling in love with a Henri scent before purchase. That's why our development lab has been working on a retail concept to bring our products into physical spaces for sale. We call it Aroma Bar, and we can't wait to share it with you.
Our plan is to bring a select quantity of our products with us to pop-up retail events around our hometown of Chicago, IL. If you're based in Chicagoland or can be in the local area when we're selling, we'd love to have you swing by and try out this experience with us. Here's how we're planning to do it.
At these events, we're going to build out a Henri-themed booth that includes our product information, items for sale, and a product demo area where prospective customers can spray our fragrances onto test strips to compare them all. We'll be there the whole time to answer any questions, help steer customers to discover the best scent for their taste, and hopefully pique their interest in learning more about what we're trying to do. If they fall in love and want to take a product home with them, we've even developed a Retail POS system to allow customers to purchase products on the spot. Just as we're able to take a variety of payments here on the site, so too will we be able to process a variety of payments on-the-ground at our pop-up stands. Coming soon: a pair of brand new products
We mentioned in last month's update that we were exploring some new packaging and delivery options for customers to join the Henri family later this year. Now that those solutions have been figured out, it's time for us to reflect on what our customers are going to want next from us here at the Henri store.
Thanks to a combination of customer feedback, recipe research, and some long-overdue market analysis, we're preparing to launch two brand-new products to the Henri store at some point between now and the end of October. Let's take a look at what's soon to be "in-store"!
The first of these two products is a perfume - and we mean a proper, laboratory-grade eau du parfum when we say that. Perfume is a tricky product to get right, even with top-tier quality fragrance oils. There's so much balance that goes into properly infusing and balancing a scent, and to make a consistent, high-quality perfume product requires us to take a few extra steps to make sure that we've executed on that goal properly.
Now that we have customers that want to see and are willing to invest in one of our lab-made perfumes - it's finally time to formally add it to our product catalog. Keep your eyes peeled through the next month as we prepare to start making and selling them to the masses!
For people that want their bodies to smell like Henri products on-demand, we've started development on a second product too - a spray hand-sanitizer. If all goes to plan, this should be the most accessible and easy-to-use Henri product we've released to date. We look forward to showing it to you, and can't wait to integrate it as the most affordable and available product in our store.
